"Ernie" has some thoughts on Obama and diversity.
I heard where Hussein Obama credited America's ethnic diversity for our athletic prowess. He just can't open his mouth without bringing up race, Islam, and/or slavery.
I'm sorry Emir Obama, but that's not what makes us great. It's that unique American culture that makes us great. It's that culture that has given life to American exceptionalism and made us the greatest country ever in the history of mankind. It's given us the greatest form of government and economic system ever devised. And equally important it includes each and every American, not just a select few.
This culture doesn't pit one group against another. It doesn't divide us as you've tried so hard to do. No, all groups who embrace these ideals share in that individual (not statist) exceptionalism. Immigrants and racially diverse and religious groups can share equally. Ideals such as Freedom, liberty, opportunity, compassion, education, innovation and all the other benefits afforded us by virtue of our unique Constitution and supporting founding documents.
The leftists condemn this culture and the thought that we could be anymore exceptional than anyone else. All I can say in response is compare the accomplishments of America over the past 240 years with that of any other country over the past 2000 years.
The biggest threat to our way of life is political correctness. PC strips away individuality and all that's made us competitive and respected. It forces us to march in lock step and to never step outside our appointed place in the omnipotent state. It teaches us that we're equally mediocre, not equally exceptional.
For these reasons we must not "reach across the aisle" and compromise with the leftists. No, we must soundly defeat them in order to save the country.
