Huma Abedin, at the behest of Hillary Clinton, transferred hundreds of Top Secret documents from secured government servers to insecure private servers. This included the transfer of thousands of documents to the laptop of her husband, disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner.
The FBI had the servers and the laptop, but never followed through because the DOJ didn’t impanel a grand jury. The statute of limitations has not run out on these crimes. They are low hanging fruit, easy pickings.
Former FBI Director James Comey admitted publicly that he leaked classified documents to a friend and asked his friend to give them to the NY Times, which the friend did. Why hasn’t a grand jury been impaneled, Attorney General Sessions? Again, easy pickings.
In the subsequent splurge of White House leaks, there are a limited number of possible suspects. Each suspect could be put in front of a grand jury and questioned under oath. Are you the source of the leak? Do you know the source of the leak? If any take the Fifth, then you have narrowed the field and the FBI can get to work on them. Good old fashioned police work will bring results, if the agents are allowed to do their job.
Everyone who exposed, divulges or hands over classified documents must be prosecuted, because failure to prosecute emboldens potential leakers to compromise the national security. They may leak for political reasons, or for personal gain. The results are the same. So, all of those mentioned above should be prosecuted.
The leaks haven’t stopped because the prosecutions haven’t started! Is it a lack of will, or politics as usual in the swamp?
Attorney General Sessions, words are cheap. Do your job!
