"Legion" has a few thoughts on our school system.
Today's dismal, educational system leaves everyone blaming each other. It's the teachers fault; no it's the parents fault; no it's PCs fault; no it's the right wings fault; and on and on. Many teachers I know blame it on federalist control that threatens loss of appropriations if not all of their far left socialist rules/regulations are not followed. Teachers, more than anyone else should know more about this than the rest of us. They apparently agree with federal rules, they feel helpless, or they don't care. Teachers strike and protest for higher wages, but when have you heard them protest for being paid propagandists for promoting policies that destroy American history, values and accomplishments? When have they protested against teacher unions for allowing the disgraceful curricula that fills our schools, K-16? Unions are little more than demo-socialist campaign fund raisers who appease educators by promoting tenure policies and better benefit packages.
Many family and friends have been and are currently teachers. I can't help but wonder when I hear many of them talk conservatism, yet defend to the hilt the blatant anti-Americanism that fills our classrooms. Today the most important subjects seem to be climate change, PC, LGBT, sexual abuse and/or freedom, far left ideology, open borders, and destroying all monuments and other historical relics that celebrate our country's culture, because some group of "victims" has determined they are offensive.
The worthless me-me hippie explosion of 60s is now the group steering our educational system, which in turn steers today's leaders.
I heard a professor defending his poor written grammar and sentence structuring by claiming being literacy proficient was called "literacy privilege" and was a part of white privilege.
