"Manx" has some thoughts on taxes and the COVID 19 virus.
Having the honor of my property tax bill increasing a mere 18% over the prior year caused me to wonder. Wonder how much of that I’ll be refunded given all the closures of public services? Schools are out for the remainder of the year. County buses are on pared down services. Libraries are closed until further notice. Parks and beaches – city, county and state are closed. Seniors centers – closed. Police and sheriff public business offices – same. Dog pound – arfarf (dog speak for closed). And the list goes on and on and on.
Refund? I must be nuts. Won’t be long before the powers that be come up with more $cheme$ to make up for “lost” revenue. And most of those schemes will be salted with “it’s for the kids”.
You're getting a check for $1,200. If that doesn't cover it, I'm sure there'll be another check in the mail for even more.

As administrator, I have deleted two derogatory comments made on this blog. Personal attacks have no place here. This is an open blog, and we can all have differences of opinion without resorting to sniping.

John: nice of you to join in. Personal attacks has no place? Have you listened to Schumer, Pelosi, Adam Schiff4brains and MSM lately. Ever heard of the Trump witch hunt and impeachment fiasco? And you accuse Manx of “ sniping”?
