Another Mass Shooting

 

Another mass shooting, this time at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed and many more were wounded, including two law enforcement officers.

 

Next came the proforma demand of the democrats, led by Joe Biden, for more gun control. Their demand is thought out about as well as other democrat policies. Here is a rebuttal:

 

1. Guns, like knives, motor vehicles and other deadly weapons, do not have a mind of their own. They are merely tools. The person who aims the gun and pulls the trigger is the killer.

 

2. If the teachers had been trained on the firing range and were armed on the job, this tragedy might have been averted. Or if the school had a law enforcement officer at the school, that might also have averted this tragedy.

 

3. The states with the strictest gun laws have much higher incidents of gun violence than those states where citizens are allowed to carry a concealed firearm. Criminals are less likely to attack when there is a probability of being met with armed resistance by the intended victim or a passerby.

 

The democrats are afraid of guns. Why is that? Could it be that a well armed citizenry are not as easy to bully and manipulate?  

 

Teacher's Unions and Their Radical Agenda

 

 

Peter has some thoughts about the teacher's union.  The government changes hands every few years, reversing policies and creating new policies. The Teacher’s Unions (TUs) don’t change hands and their policies remain consistent.

 

The policies and actions of the TUs focus on the teachers rather than the students, ie. higher pay and benefits for the teachers raises the standards of the students’ education, or so they allege.

 

The Democrats curry a synergistic relationship with the TUs. They give the TUs whatever they want and get the votes of the teachers in return. They give no thought or advantage to the students.

 

In the past six decades the TUs have become increasingly Marxist, due to the large numbers of rebellious anti-Vietnam war protesters who pursued careers as teachers in elementary schools, high schools and colleges. The extremist anti-Americans also rose to positions of power and influence within the TUs.

 

The anti-American and Marxist sentiment of these extremists has resulted in harmful and controversial curricula, such as Critical Race Theory (CRT), LGBTQ indoctrination and denigration of America’s institutions and history. Our founding fathers have been labeled as racists. Our entire population of whites has been labeled racist. Our institutions have been accused of having systemic racism.

 

This is what our children are being taught. Our education standing in the world has fallen dramatically over the years. The cause is obvious.

 

The TUs must be abolished. Schools and colleges should be governed as a meritocracy, with the better teachers getting better pay. It may take a long time to fix our education system because it took a long time to break it. We need to get on with it now!

 

In the meantime parents must be on the alert for the educational and emotional safety of their children

 

The Climate Change Scam

When Alexandria Ocrazio-Cortez says there is a scientific consensus that the climate is changing, she is correct.

 

But then she conflates that premise with her assertion that mankind can somehow slow down or stop the climate change by reducing carbon "footprints" making it seem that there is a scientific consensus for that as well. There is no such consensus. Mankind cannot control or stem climate change or weather. That power lies exclusively with Mother Nature.

 

Ocrazio-Cortez's conflation creates a false premise to seduce uninformed and naive people into her "Green New Deal" program of waging war against our energy production. That adversely affects our economy and creates an unfair economic burden on the middle class and even more so on the underclass.

 

Biden and the radical left's war on fossil fuels has resulted in skyrocketing gas prices. Because most consumable goods are trucked, the increased fuel costs have caused almost everything we buy to increase in price. That is a root cause of inflation, which is currently stagnating our economy and driving thousands of small businesses into bankruptcy. The cost of fuel is also causing the price of electricity to skyrocket. So having an electric car won't save you from higher costs per mile.

 

The "Green New Deal" is a fraud that is costing the people of America trillions of dollars. But even worse, it is costing America it's place as the world's leader in energy production. Russia's war on Ukraine isn't about land, it's about energy. Russia wants Ukraine's ports, oil and gas pipelines. When America was leading the world in energy production under Trump, Putin kept pretty quiet. Putin celebrated the "Green New Deal" by immediately massing troops and weapons on Ukraine's border. When Putin saw how weak Biden was and how he was being manipulated by radical left wing operatives, he ordered his troops to invade Ukraine.

 

America, by the actions and inactions of our current POTUS, is complicit in the carnage occurring in Ukraine. We are ashamed to have made such a weak, doddering fool our President, backed up by a weak, doddering fool of a VP.

 

God help us to get through the next couple of years without the total collapse of our economy, or the start of WWIII.
