Hamas Butchers Babies

"Peter" has some thoughts about Hamas.

The terrorists of Hamas butchered hundreds of Israelis, mostly women and children. They cut off the heads of dozens of babies. Yet, many of the students and professors of our most elite universities praise Hamas and lay blame on the Israelis, the victims.

 

The terrorists declared Friday, October 13^th to be a day of protest in support of the terrorists and all around the world people responded with protests, assaults, murders and declarations of support for the terrorists of Hamas.

 

This reminds me of a quote from the Corsican artilleryman, Napoleon: “Sharpened steel defeats logic and intelligence.” Its worth noting that his father was a lawyer.

 

The sharpened steel of historical times is an obvious metaphor for the terrorism of today, defeating logic, intelligence and common sense. Seeing the media glorifying terrorism – not all the media perhaps, but most – makes me embarrassed; not just for the United States, but for the world at large. For the Human Race.

 

We are devolving from the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, Civility; from Civilization itself.

 

Honor is missing in action. Our politicians don’t have even a passing acquaintance with honor. The media have mostly never heard of honor. They don’t look for it because they don’t know what it is. Its not taught in schools, with the possible exception of the military and naval academies. Its certainly not taught in law schools.

 

There are honorable people, but only those brought up that way by honorable parents, or were fortunate enough to come under the influence of a person of honor.

 

Do you want our government to act honorably? Fat chance!

These Marxist professors and their fellow far left ideologues are turning our students into puppets who lack critical thought and common sens. Any civilized person with half a brain would denounce the senseless slaughter and support the victims. Israel can only prevent more slaughter by totally eliminating Hamas and those who provided Hamas with their weapons and tactics.

There is still honor noticeable within the military, even with the "win at all cost" attitude of certain units, like SEALs or Green Berets. Officers are trained to be completely truthful and accurate in their communications with superiors and each other, although they are allowed to mislead enlisted men, if necessary to achieve a mission. The 'sharpened steel defeats logic" premise is well known in the Corps.
