COVID: Is this why EVERYONE IS CONFUSED

 

"Peter" passed on some thoughts about the Covid crisis.

Me: AT RESTAURANT:

Hostess: OK, I can seat you at this table right here (4 feet away), but I will need you to wear a mask to the table.

Me: What happens when I get to the table?

Hostess: You can take off the mask.

Me: Then it is safe over there?

Hostess: Yes.

Me: Are those fans blowing above the table? Is that the air-conditioning I feel? Is the air circulating in here?

Hostess: No words.

 Confused look.

 

Me: AT GROCERY STORE: Why is there plastic on the payment keypad?

Cashier: To protect people from Covid.

Me: But isn’t everyone touching the plastic keypad the same way they would the regular keypad?Cashier: No words. Confused look.

 

Me: Why don't you pack the grocery bags anymore?Cashier: Because of covid-19 to reduce the spread of catching or spreading the virus.

Me: But a shelf packer took it out of a box and put it on the shelf, a few customers might have picked it up and put it back deciding they Don't want it, I put it in my cart then on the conveyor belt, YOU pick it up to scan it.. But putting it in a bag after you scan is risky??

Cashier: No words, confused look.

 

Me: AT A DRIVE-THRUServer: (holds a tray out the window with a bag of food for a logical friend to grab)

Me: Why is my bag of food on a tray?

Server: So I don’t touch your food because of Covid.

Me: Didn’t the cook touch my food? Didn’t the person wrapping my food touch it and then touch it again when placing it in my bag? Didn’t you touch the bag and put it on the tray? Didn’t you touch the tray?Server: No words. Confused look

 

And add the Costco people that can’t touch your Costco card but can scan all the food you put on the belt then take the money you hand them.. hmmm

 

Me: In SOCIETYSOCIETY: If you cough or sneeze do it in your elbow or sleeve,Also society: Don't shake hands or hug anyone or you will spread the virus. To greet people, do an elbow tap instead.

Me: Elbow tap? Isn't that where you tell people to sneeze or cough? into their elbow? Now you want people to tap each other with that elbow wouldn't it be safer to sneeze into the elbow and shake hands like we did before Covid?

 

SOCIETY: You are not allowed to stand and drink at the pub or bar, you have to sit down. But at the shopping center you are not allowed to sit down, all the chairs are roped off.Life is hard for logical people right now. We have raised a generation without the ability to process and execute logic. Common sense is very uncommon.*

The party of Lincoln and Reagan has finally come together. They now stand locked arms weepy-eyed, wringing hands and groveling with apologies as they indicate responsibility for the Jan 06 Capitol Hill debacle. At the same time the party of Wilson and Obama is screaming Impeachment! - 25th Amendment! - Resign!

Impeachment? Pelosi can keep beating that dead horse and very well muster enough from her confederacy of dunces to hold court in the house. A court right out of “A Tale Of Two Cities” with Pelosi playing the lead role as the crone Madame Defarge -  and like Defarge right there in the front. As Pelosi lives out her fantasy her elected minions, most of the media and a dubious section of the public drool and claw like my cat when I tease her with a dead fish.

Shouts of “IMPEACHMENT!” and “Watch what we do Monday!” resonate this Friday night like howling primates at a zoo. OK, file the damn articles and vote on it in the House. Then what? It goes to Senate and where are those reprobates? Vacation - don’t return until Jan 20 - Inauguration Day. That would require one speedy trial for sure.

We’re witnessing a disaster in the making that will play out at least for the next two years. At the same time we just witnessed what amounted to the first shot of the Civil War at Fort Sumter redux when Ashli Babbitt was murdered in cold blood.

And as things boil and fester the president elect along with his blind and lame screech “Peaceful transition” as Donald Trump is forced to run a gauntlet lined with savages - a gauntlet in part his own making.

 

Marijuana the Wonder Drug

"Ernie" has some thoughts on marijuana.

Just got another email touting the miraculous healing abilities of cannabis (a non-hallucinating relative of marijuana).  Which, according to them was used by biblical icons thousands of years ago.  It’s what caused Methuselah to live to be 900.  I decided to read this one which turned out to be equal in length to War & Peace.  This concoction of cannabis and plant fluids (sap) is curing everything from cancer to ED.  The constant reference to the OT as the source of this discovery got me wondering.  If that’s true why didn't Christ Jesus use it to cure the thousands of people who begged him for help?  Like “ok Ishmael, go gather some leaves and plant juices from these cannabis plants, mixed them together, then either drink it or rub it on the area that hurts.  Give it a few minutes and you’ll be good as new.”  No, he prayed over them and then told them to go and sin no more.  Then he told his deciples; “Those who believe on me and obey God’s commandments, these things I do they can do likewise.  And even more can they do cause I go to be with the father.”  Gee, you’d think the eternal Christ would have known about the healing abilities of cannabis. 

 

  PS:  when I look around and see what’s happening to this country today, I really don’t think I want to live another 800 years.  But that’s just me.

Will it be War?

"Peter" has some thoughts on whether the virus is an act of war.

It is becoming more clear by the day that the Wuhan virus, or the politically correct Covid19, originated in the Virology Research Center in Wuhan. It may have gotten loose into the local population by accident or by plan. We’ll probably never know the truth because the Chinese have destroyed the records and “disappeared” the doctors and researchers involved – even the Chief of the center.

However, there are facts that have been ascertained that show a concerted effort by the Chinese to cover up and mislead investigators away from placing any blame on China. Their actions after the release of the contagion are crimes against humanity and tantamount to waging war on the west.

For instance:

When the contagion was first discovered, the Chinese banned all flights out of Wuhan to other cities in China, but they sent hundreds of flights carrying thousands of people out of Wuhan to the U.S. and Europe. Chinese officials knew many of them were infected, that was why they banned the internal flights out of Wuhan. They acted to intentionally cause contagion in the U.S. and the rest of the West. That is an act of war.

Shiploads of medical supplies, including ventilators, N95 masks and other PPE routed to the U.S. and Europe were recalled by Chinese authorities and their cargoes impounded for redistribution within China. These were American owned cargoes manufactured by American companies located within China. So our medical personnel and facilities at home were robbed of the essential gear necessary to combat the contagion. That is an act of war.

 

China has continued to deny any blame for the Wuhan virus, instead launching a propaganda war claiming that the U.S. is responsible for the contagion. They have also continued their military aggressions in the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea.

 

We have already lost blood and treasure in the trillions, with 38,000 deaths and counting, and our economy in lockdown.

 

Is it time to give China a bloody nose and weaken their military strength?

 

Is it time to pass legislation prohibiting U.S. companies from operating within China?

 

Is it time to seize Chinese assets here to offset a small part of our losses?

 

Should we prohibit China from owning businesses or property in the U.S., especially media companies?

 

Or will engineering a regime change in China and a shift to democracy be enough?

 

We cannot lay down and surrender, we must fight or be known as a paper tiger.

"Peter" has some thoughts about the COVID19 and the economy.

 

Hindsight is usually 20-20, so this should be easy to understand - even for members of Congress.

 

When Covid19 first reared it's ugly head, it was determined almost immediately that the elderly and those with underlying health problems - diabetics, cancer patients, TB, etc. - were most at risk of dying from it. The powers that be, Trump included, decided that it was necessary to practice social distancing and, eventually, to lock ourselves away in quarantine - shutting down all nonessential businesses, sports events, religious services, etc. - to protect the elderly and infirm from dying and thus keep down the body count. This shutdown of America has cost trillions so far and is becoming much more deadly to the nation than a virus.

 

If we had chosen to take steps to quarantine the elderly and infirm from the rest of the population instead, it would have allowed the nation to stay open for business. The elderly and infirm don't take up many places in the unemployment lines because they're generally retired or on disability. The working class might or might not catch the virus, but they are generally not going to die from it. They would return to work in a couple of weeks, immune to the virus.

 

After a few months, herd immunity would make the virus not so contagious and not so deadly. In the meantime, we wouldn't have trashed the hopes and dreams of our children and grandchildren to have a financially secure future. We would have avoided all the unconstitutional orders being cast by ignorant governors to cancel religious services, sporting events, plays, movie theaters, schools and universities.

 

Congress, of course, would be adversely affected due to consisting primarily of elderly and infirm members. But we can afford to do without Congress far more easily than doing without goods and services, or the right to assemble for religious services or a baseball game.

 

Let's hope that if we have a relapse of Covid19 the powers that be will rethink their strategy, or lack thereof.

 

The Viral Panic

"Peter" has some thoughts on the viral panic.

There’s nothing like stress to reveal basic human nature. And in this artificially contrived and feverishly promoted virus crisis, the awful sad truths burst forth like the evil spirits in Night on Bald Mountain.

 

Most people are proving themselves to be just plain ignorant and stupid. They stand for nothing and fall for anything. Instead of thinking, remaining calm, they panic.

 

And some people, unfortunately too many in powerful positions, are just plain evil. They will tell any lie, misrepresent and misinterpret any fact, distort any truth, to serve narrow-minded partisan political purposes, knowing full well that most people don’t have the resources, motivation and patience to dig down to the truth. Don’t even mention that the seasonal flu kills tens of thousands every year. But oh my god, the Wuhan virus killed a few tens of high risk victims! It’s time to freak out. And definitely don’t mention, except by derision and ridicule, that by foresight or fortuitous coincidence we have a number of drugs that can actually kill this virus. All that stands in the way is regulatory bureaucracy and insufficient manufacturing capacity. 

 

These evil people in the deep state declared war on Trump as soon as he was a candidate, doubled down when he became the nominee, and doubled down again when he became President. 

 

But when all their efforts had backfired, they declared war on the country itself. They are willing to destroy the economy, destroy the country, just so they can regain power.

 

It doesn’t matter where why and how the Wuhan virus broke out. What matters is that it opened the second front, by immediately becoming the excuse to disrupt the supply chain of practically every product of any importance in the American economy. It provided cover to the third front of the war, the still unrelenting attack on the stock market by short-sellers. The stock market is crashing! Blame the virus. The epidemic is spreading! Blame Trump. Still, the stock market is such that when someone wants to sell, someone has to buy; so who’s selling, who’s buying? They don’t tell us. And the virus provided cover for the fourth front in the war, the destruction of the economy itself, by relentless fear- and panic-mongering in the media, and, just to make sure that maximum if not total damage will be inflicted, by issuing the “non-essential” business closure / shelter in place / lock-down orders, state by state, county by county, city by city — drip drip drip — to whip up the panic into a frenzy, to cement it into a permanent depression. Look at all the empty shelves! Look at all the shortages! Look, mass layoffs coming! Twenty percent unemployment is coming! Blame Trump. But just forget to note that the fascist power grab is happening in states and cities run by Democrats.

 

In the meantime, the older fifth front is opening up wider. The Chinese are threatening to cut off critical pharmaceuticals destined for the US market. They are moving to monopolize critical raw materials and creating vassal states by extending “Belt And Road” to key parts of the world. Their military is expanding rapidly, both in quantity and quality, while they promise and predict with fervent rhetoric that they’ll surpass us in every field in just a few years.

 

We are already at war, folks, on five simultaneous fronts, four of them variations on the unrelenting efforts of the NeverTrumpers. Were the 2010s like the 1930s? Close, with eight years of our own Neville Chamberlains. Is 2020 a replay of 1938? No, it’s 1939, before the actual blitz. We’re just too busy cursing the hoarders and gazing at empty store shelves, and our elites are still too busy hating on Trump, to know it yet. Or maybe that’s precisely what they want to maneuver us into. But when the shooting starts, it won’t be anything like WW2; the shortages, the pestilence, the famine will be real and permanent, and the victims will pile up or be vaporized by the hundreds of millions.

Fear is the source of all disease.  What mortal mind believes is made manifest on the body.  So what does MSM do?  24/7 they scare the hell out of everyone by spreading the most scary and questionable news they can find, or make up. You may ask “Why do they do this?”  The answer is; “using this virus to defeat Trump this Nov.”.  The more people who get the disease, the more they can blame Trump.  Even better, the more people who die, the more fear they can create, and the more they can help spread the virus.  And the more they can blame Trump.  I know this sounds inhumane,  but they’ve spent 3.5 years with lies on top of more lies trying to force him out of office.  You think they’re going to let an opportunity like this slip thru their fingers?  With far left propaganda MSM leading the way, willing to tell any lie, come up with any anonymous lying whistle blowers;  they believe they have a great chance to turn the country against the president and reclaim total power.

Has "Mad Dog Mattis" Turned on Trump?

Today the media is reporting on General James “Mad Dog” Mattis, Ret. Today’s reports share a common theme referring to Mattis’ op-ed in the Wall Street Journal this morning.

His op-ed has been grabbed by the media in just the past few hours and transfigured into an indictment of Trump. Perhaps there’s another Mattis writing floating around today that I missed. Having read the WSJ piece I can say it makes for interesting reading especially for one who might be interested in Mattis’ autobiography and reminisces about his forty years in the Corps as well as some broad philosophical views. Innuendos about Trump? Sure. Unimpeachable accusations? Not so sure.

The op-ed includes thoughts about believing in oneself, doing the right thing and not falling into situations that Mattis commented on such as “I drew no energy from the turmoil and politics that animate our capital”. A respectable comment considering it comes from a person who has fallen into predictable lockstep with so many others given his upcoming book due for release next week.

"Ernie" has some thoughts about young democrats.

 

What's going on with the young democrats?  Looks like fantasy hour at Miss Moppets PreSchool for the mentally impaired.  These millennials have watched so much Star Trek Space Odyssey sci-fi they can't tell the difference between fiction and reality.  They see the Flintstones zoom around in flying sedans and  think we shud be doing that.  Their imagination can't envision the skies over New York filled with millions of people in flying autos going to work.(and they propose all this while wanting to abandon air travel). 

 

    Forget trying to explain Econ 101 to them.  Forget the history of varying forms of failed gov'ts.  Don't even think about teaching logic.  The only instructors they ever listened to were obviously Lenin, Marx, Stalin and Alinsky.  Perhaps a little Mao thrown in along the way.

 

    I'm afraid I can never be friends again with anyone who thinks the country should be steered by a nitwit like Alexandria Ocrazio-Cortez.  It was bad enough when they kissed the rings if Pelosi and Chuck U. Schumer, but embracing this 28 year old barmaid can be nothing less than the result of their socialist education and Hollywood sci-fi fantacism gone crazy.  If this is today's democrat party I want nothing to do with it, nor with the people who blindly and enthusiastically support it.

 

  Can't help but remember Soviet President Krushchev gloating that America would one day become a communist state, and it would happen thru the democrat party. The old boy was quick to pick up on the fondness the dems openly expressed for a gov't that had control and ownership over every aspect of  a country's financial, industrial, social and informational needs.  Talk about Utopia!

Why America is an Economic Powerhouse

Marketing is the key to America's economic growth.

Children are taught from television that the best foods are the high fat or high sugar processed foods. Bacon and eggs, waffles and syrup, donuts, frosted Pop Tarts, McDonalds, Dairy Queen, Baloney (well named) and other lunchmeats, hot dogs, Coke and Pepsi, fried chicken, pot roast, apple pie and ice cream, birthday cakes....well, you get the picture.

By the time they reach adulthood they are so conditioned to the marketing that they turn a deaf ear to any propaganda they here in school or church about eating healthy. They are also addicted to certain ingredients, such as caffeine in coffee, soda pop and energy drinks; sugar in almost everything; fats in almost everything; and salt in almost everything.

Over time, a LARGE number of the children and the adults become obese. Many are morbidly obese. Way more than previous generations due to more advanced and scientific methods of marketing. They tell you that processed meat stays "fresh" longer, implying that they are healthy for you; that "fresh frozen" vegetables, meats and dairy products are healthy for you. Really?

The plague of obesity in America is causing big increases in chronic diseases, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, liver and kidney disease, and heart disease. Millions of obese people with chronic diseases have made America less healthy overall than many third world countries. But we have the strongest economy in the world.

Those millions of sick people eat fast food, eat in restaurants or order take out on a regular basis, providing employment to millions in the fast food and restaurant industries. They must be seen by health care professionals on a regular basis, providing employment to millions of nurses, doctors, X-Ray techs, lab techs, EMTs, and orderlies. They purchase billions of dollars worth of prescription medications, providing employment to hundreds of thousands of manufacturing workers making billions of pills, capsules, vials, needles, syringes and ointments. And a million more making over the counter remedies, bandages, crutches, wheelchairs, CPAP machines, oxygen tanks, catheters....well, you know. Then there are another million jobs for pharmacists, pharmacy techs, drug manufacturer's reps that visit every single doctor's office and drug store in the country, and the company's administrative personnel to keep them all in compliance with government rules and regulations.

Without the millions and millions of chronically ill people, and all the obese people on the path to becoming chronically ill, 75% of the jobs mentioned herein would be eliminated. 60% of the companies would close. 50% of the hospitals would close. There would be a ripple effect in every community. Our economy would collapse.

We wouldn't be obese any more, the hunger and starvation would take care of that. So, thank you to those of you that are obese or have chronic diseases. Thank you for sacrificing yourselves so that the rest of us can live well and prosper.
