The Past and Future of the NFL

"Peter" has some thoughts on the NFL.

Some folks have come to despise the NFL. For fans who follow the sport, most of this will be a simple reminder of things you already know. For the rest, it's a wake-up call:

In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling before each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his eye-black to avoid glare, and made him take it off.

In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.

In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.

In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure "eye black for breast cancer awareness.

In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (Not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem..).

In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed by the same sniper in the line of duty.

In 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

In Sports, they should know something about "Playing Fair." So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression. It seems quite clear based on these facts that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players demonstrating RESPECT for any issue: For God, social causes such as mental health, cancer, domestic violence, for cops killed arbitrarily for being cops, or for the Memory of 9/11, etc.

BUT they DO allow demonstrations of DISRESPECT for our National Flag, our National Anthem, for America , and for the American People, particularly if it will help mollify a particular Group and its supporters. That is what the NFL has shown itself to be.

We must Honor our military; too many of whom have come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin. And support our law enforcement and remember the 18 officers that have died at the hands of this communist uprising.

Let's get the word out and flood their office with complaints and please, do not support them by watching their games. Remember what they represent and how un-American their activities are. Supporting BLM is supporting the subversive Marxists Anarchists aggressively attacking our country. BLM leaders have publicly stated that they are Marxists and that they are following the Communist Manifesto's Rules for Seizing Power.

Racism in Sports

"Legion" has some thoughts about African-Americans and sports.

I found the following demographic stats interesting as relates to college and pro sports in America. It seems to me the Caucasian race is getting the short end of the deal. For example, 59% of college basketball players are black. 75% of NBA players are black. 65% of NFL players are black. Only 8.5% of baseball players are black (29% are Hispanic). I also found where K-State graduates 100% of white athletes, but only 14% of blacks. What? Don't the lives of white athletes matter?

Colleges get their money from the gov't in taxes, endowments from rich white people, student fees which are 70% white, ticket sales and corporate donations. It seems working whites are paying the bulk of those sources of income. Obviously the pros get their incomes from TV, ticket sales, corporate sponsors, logo gifts, etc. College scholarships are given primarily to blacks who graduate only about 10-15% of their athletes. The tax money that supports their room/board, tuition, books, etc, is never paid back, even by those who go on to sign megabuck, obscene contracts in the pros. Most of those never get past their 2nd year in school. If you can call never going to class "school".

It seems to me there's a huge discrimination against whites in the sports world. Where's the diversity? Are we going to have to lower the standards so disenfranchised whites have an equal chance to play sports? Are we going to have to have protests on campuses and arenas every time there's a game? Are we to quit sending our kids to colleges that continue this discrimination against whites? Are we supposed to protest against the media, corporate donors and other industries that support this blatant injustice? Are we to create havoc by looting, burning and shooting school officials to get our demands heard? What is the government doing to right this wrong? Which politicians do we have to pay off and/or threaten to get our voices heard?

I won't be satisfied until I see a 5'11" white guy playing center for a major college basketball team. If he can't play ball what's he supposed to do? Get an education, a job and be a creative, productive part of society? You call that fair?!

Is 60 Minutes Biased?

"Manx" has some thoughts about 60 Minutes.

Sixty Minutes (SM) is a worn out liberal tabloid hell-bent on keeping itself contemporary not through current events but rather through promoting self-loathing, disdain for big business, white guilt and whatever else might appeal to followers of “New York Times,” “Mother Jones,” NPR, PBS news and the like.

When’s the last time a matronly woman in a cotton print dress from JC Penney presented a story? A story something like a farmer in Nebraska who teaches kids how to plow fields and plant seeds. Don’t recall? Neither do I. Instead SM promotes staffers like the one in a too-short leather skirt who should be hiding rather than flaunting those boney knees. Someone who repeatedly presents similar stories on the line of inner city “youth” playing Bach or Vivaldi on Stradivarius violins donated by something similar to a Soros offshoot foundation.

Then there are the exposes such as those of people who travel the world to places in defiance of State Department restrictions or warnings, get in a jam in some third world cesspool, then are indignant they weren’t rescued by Uncle Sam.

Evil pharmaceutical companies? Count on SM to pull out those tearjerkers on a slow news night.

Now SM is jumping on a bandwagon that is only going to gain momentum as this country approaches the end of the Obama debacle. An end where Obama will make Janet Reno, her then henchman Eric Holder and their majordomo Bill Clinton look like pikers with their get out of jail free cards also known as presidential pardons. And one pardon in particular. A pardon that fans of Che Guevara and Mao have been pushing for. A burning desire for a posthumous presidential pardon for Ethel Rosenberg. Yes, Ethel Rosenberg, the conspirator in that treasonous cabal to aid Stalin with our national secrets.

Rosenberg has now become a cause célèbre for history revisionists. Those revisionist folks who hate history, tradition, values and just about anything that has been accepted as the norm by the majority. And how does SM fit in? It’s now being reported a “forthcoming segment of ‘60 Minutes’ that will endeavor to show Ethel received an unfair trial and never should have been executed.”

So expect a SM segment with someone like Charlie Rose at his hangdog best giving a heart-rending performance in a massive attempt to solicit pity and thereby support and virtually a demand that Obama pardon someone who didn’t give a damn about her fellow citizens.

By the way, I never liked Andy Rooney either – a liberals’ lib disguised as a grandfatherly curmudgeon.

Are Progressives Communists?

"Ernie" has some thoughts on Putin and the direction that America's headed.

 It appears Obama and Putin don't like each other.  Sorta like Obama and Netanyahu except the former are technically both on the same side.  At least it seems that way to me.  Go all the way back to Kruschev pounding his shoe on the table at the UN announcing that Russia would bury the US, if not militarily then economically.  As I look around at todays dismal state of America, one could make an argument that Kruschev's promise has come true.

 

     Leninists (liberal social democrats) have quietly been taking over our country.  The process began as far back as Woodrow Wilson who loved the idea of turning a democratic US into a powerful state run, state controlled socialist government.  His goal gained tremendous speed under FDR with government run health care, retirement programs, education to name just a few.  After all, it was FDR who said he didn't have anything against communism.  Some of his best friends were communists.  While these and other lefties of both parties laid the ground work and started the ball rolling, it's Hussein Obama who's made the "transformation" almost complete.  By destroying the military, our alliance with Israel, our religious values, our economy, our culture, our borders, and our exceptionalism, he has made Putin a happy man.

 

     What is this groundwork I mentioned that started in the early 1900's?  Consider what the Leninists have accomplished:

 

1.     They have taken over our labor unions.  In other words, they have "united the workers".  And our "progressive" politicians have passed law after law to make them more and more powerful.  Thanks to unions and democrats we have cities like Detroit; states like California, empty manufacturing facilities, unemployment, a failed educational systems and an out of control bureaucracy that rewards poor performance with laws that make it impossible to fire the deadbeats.

 

2.     They have taken over the educational system.  Over 80% of college instructors and faculty are admitted extreme leftist liberals.  It's nearly impossible for a conservative to be hired, and even more impossible to get tenured (the death trap of education).  They respond by turning out far left liberal lawyers, teachers, environmentalists, and maybe something even more disasterous, thousands of so called journalists. 

 

3.     Thanks largely to left wing universities, they have taken over congress, the judiciary, the media, the entertainment industry, and so called environmentalism.  They have imposed political correctness on us, making it virtually impossible to say anything that disagrees with liberal theology.  (It really is a religion to those who practice it).

 

4.     And even worse, they have put supporters of their ideology in the Oval office.  I give you one Hussein Obama.  He's not only destroying our religious values, he's destroying the public practice of Christianity.   But he's taken Kruschev one step further.  He's aligning us with his beloved Islamic brethren.  I think Putin has already shown he's not afraid of Muslims.

 

5.     Obama has weakened our military to the point nobody (especially Russia) fears us.  Consequently our international influence has suffered accordingly.  I would venture to say that we have no allies left who feel they can rely on us.

 

6.     Finally, thanks to liberals in both parties, Obama has spent us into bankruptcy.  We're on the verge of seeing the dollar lose all its influence and value.  We're $19T in debt and Obama, Hillary, Sanders, Pelosi, Reid and the RINO gang just keep on spending.

 

     Yes, Kruschev can finally rest in peace and Putin can continue to gloat and flex his muscles while continuing his plan to restore  Russia to the once powerful Soviet Union.  Yes, I would argue they've won.  The Leninists are running the country.  And sadly no one who supports our liberal socialist democrats has any idea what's happening because unfortunately our forementioned educational system no longer teaches American nor world history.  I doubt 10% of those under 40 years of age even know who Kruschev  was nor anything about the savage isms that plagued the world throughout history.  Communism, Nazism, Marxism, Leninism, Maoism, Socialism, Fascism, and probably others.

 

     If you watched the democrats debate last night, you should have no doubts that a victory for any of them would be the final blow to democracy.  It's too late to make a complete reversal in the direction our country has taken, but not yet too late to change our dismal leadership so as to put the process of change into motion.  

 

 

Republicans Win Big - Now What?

It wasn’t a good night for Democrats.  I watched MSNBC a good portion of the evening, just to savor the gloom on Chris Matthews face.  Disillusioned Independents and Democrats joined Republicans to send the Obama Administration and Obama Democrats a message:  We’re sick and tired of your ineptness, your imperial attitude, and your general unresponsiveness to working Americans.   After a short celebration, the Republicans are going to have to deliver to the American people—if they expect to remain in power and to regain the White House in 2016.

 

Amnesty:  Obama will no doubt try to enfranchise millions of illegal aliens by some type of executive action before the new Senate take their seats.   This will probably fail, but when the new Republican Senate is sworn they are going to have to deal with it.  I would look for some kind of modified amnesty to be passed.  If the Republicans fail to do this, they will risk forever losing the Hispanic vote.

 

ObamaCare:  This is an unqualified disaster that Democrats don’t want to talk about, but again once the Republicans are going to have to either repeal ObamaCare or modify it.  The Republicans will have to decide what to do with this monstrosity.  I doubt they will abolish it.  I would expect them to pass a modification that will water it down and make it less financially onerous. 

 

ISIS:  Obama campaigned on getting us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and this is what polls showed the American people wanted; however, they wanted it with honor.  In his zeal to be the President who got us out of foreign entanglements, Obama disregarded his military advisors who wanted to leave a residual force to keep order.  The Republicans will have to decide whether we will once again have boots on the ground, and how many. 

 

Economy:  Despite all the Democratic cheerleading for a supposed rising economy, the American people know better.  The average American still has friends who have lost their jobs, and their wages aren’t moving up.  Obama keeps trumpeting the fact that we have a one or two percent inflation rate, but when Americans go to their grocery stores, they see higher and higher prices, smaller packages, and meat priced so high that many Americans are limiting it to once or twice a week.  The Republicans are going to be expected to fix the economy.  If they don’t, they will pay the price.
