Pothole Pete’s Con Job

"Peter" has some thoughts on Pete Buttigieg's performance.

Pete Buttigieg, Biden’s Secretary of Transportation (can you believe that?) is saying on camera that our pain at the pumps will benefit us by forcing us to switch to electric vehicles (EV). That will be better for us? What a MORON!

We are currently experiencing brownouts and blackouts across the nation due to hot weather. The same stress on our grid occurs during cold weather. Even a few extra cars plugging in to recharge their car batteries could mean the difference of whether you get to watch TV or not, not to mention keeping our refrigerator going and making the home cool enough to be able to sleep.

Imagine what it would be like if millions of EVs were trying to recharge every evening after work. The grid would literally melt! We haven’t got the electrical capacity to even begin to address Biden’s imaginary Green New Deal. Its all smoke and mirrors BS.

One more point that Joe and Pete never mention: Most electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels, such as oil and coal. To generate the amount of electricity they need, they’d have to build fifty new refineries supplemented by ten new nuclear generating plants.

Biden’s whole “Green” agenda is HOCUM!

Watching the brain-cell challenged lefties cry in their beer has been very entertaining, but I think it's time for the welfare crowd to go back to their sofas, beer and Chrysler 300s. Time for the snowflakes to go back to class or daddy's basement. Time for lobbyists and political parasites to go back under the rocks from whence they came. It's time for real Americans ( stress "real") to seize the God given opportunity to put this country back together again.

 

These protests are ridiculous and aren't going to change anything. Trump won. Get over it. We should be jumping up and down.

Can't believe schools and parents are tolerating 14-16 year old students to skip school to protest. Most of them probably have no idea why they're protesting, but hey! Beats going to class all day. Course this is happening in Cali-like ya'know-fornia so what would you expect.

Mainstream media and most mainline newspapers are left looking insignificant and passé. (It was just a matter of time). The media propagandists showed their bias when they whined, cried and crumbled on air. Nothing impartial about these folks.

It's also time for President Trump to start draining the swamp and doing the things he promised to do. I don't want to have to tell you again, Mr President. Don't make me come back there! Good luck and God's speed.

Is 60 Minutes Biased?

"Manx" has some thoughts about 60 Minutes.

Sixty Minutes (SM) is a worn out liberal tabloid hell-bent on keeping itself contemporary not through current events but rather through promoting self-loathing, disdain for big business, white guilt and whatever else might appeal to followers of “New York Times,” “Mother Jones,” NPR, PBS news and the like.

When’s the last time a matronly woman in a cotton print dress from JC Penney presented a story? A story something like a farmer in Nebraska who teaches kids how to plow fields and plant seeds. Don’t recall? Neither do I. Instead SM promotes staffers like the one in a too-short leather skirt who should be hiding rather than flaunting those boney knees. Someone who repeatedly presents similar stories on the line of inner city “youth” playing Bach or Vivaldi on Stradivarius violins donated by something similar to a Soros offshoot foundation.

Then there are the exposes such as those of people who travel the world to places in defiance of State Department restrictions or warnings, get in a jam in some third world cesspool, then are indignant they weren’t rescued by Uncle Sam.

Evil pharmaceutical companies? Count on SM to pull out those tearjerkers on a slow news night.

Now SM is jumping on a bandwagon that is only going to gain momentum as this country approaches the end of the Obama debacle. An end where Obama will make Janet Reno, her then henchman Eric Holder and their majordomo Bill Clinton look like pikers with their get out of jail free cards also known as presidential pardons. And one pardon in particular. A pardon that fans of Che Guevara and Mao have been pushing for. A burning desire for a posthumous presidential pardon for Ethel Rosenberg. Yes, Ethel Rosenberg, the conspirator in that treasonous cabal to aid Stalin with our national secrets.

Rosenberg has now become a cause célèbre for history revisionists. Those revisionist folks who hate history, tradition, values and just about anything that has been accepted as the norm by the majority. And how does SM fit in? It’s now being reported a “forthcoming segment of ‘60 Minutes’ that will endeavor to show Ethel received an unfair trial and never should have been executed.”

So expect a SM segment with someone like Charlie Rose at his hangdog best giving a heart-rending performance in a massive attempt to solicit pity and thereby support and virtually a demand that Obama pardon someone who didn’t give a damn about her fellow citizens.

By the way, I never liked Andy Rooney either – a liberals’ lib disguised as a grandfatherly curmudgeon.

Should Muslims be Required to Register in the U.S.?

"Legion" has some thoughts on Donald Trump.  

Trump is in trouble with the left for not renouncing a rhetorical proposal to require all Muslims and mosques to register, and then monitored for anti American activities.  Personally I think Islam shud not be recognized as a legitimate religion, and should be denied any/all benefits afforded to legitimate churches. Muslims should not only be monitored but should be jailed/deported for such treasonous action, including demanding the implementation of Sharia Law for Muslim communities. Mosques should be closed and forbidden because of (A) murderous activists all over the  world; (B) the mass genicide of Christians throughout the Middle East & more recently Europe; (C) the stated objective in the Koran of world dominance by means of either converting or killing infidels; (D) the bombing and mass killings occurring in Europe; (E) the emergence of  "safe zones" in Europe and Michigan where state governments are not allowed, and where Sharia Law supercedes all state and federal laws; and (F) the absolute acceptance of Islamic terrorism by virtue of "moderate" apathy.
   In addition all Muslims serving time in prison should never be paroled back into the general population, but should be deported back to an Islamic country.
   Last but not least we should not under any circumstances allow Muslim immigration into America. At least not while Islamic terrorism and Jihad remains an active force of evil and death throughout the world.
    Muslims who wish to stay in the US with these restrictions in place should be denied the right to vote.  Active efforts to subvert said restrictions shud result in immediate deportation.

The Islamic Invasion of Europe

"Peter" has some thought on the migrants entering Europe.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslim "refugees" are invading Europe because their fellow Muslims in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, etc. "refuse" to accept them. It was a shorter distance to travel to these other Muslim countries, so why didn't they just push in like they're doing in Europe? They would have been among their own kind, with the same religion, the same ideology and common languages.

 

The response of Saudi Arabia to a call from European leaders for them to help says volumes about what's really happening. The Saudis offered to build 200 mosques in Germany and Austria to "service" the Muslim immigrants. No mention of repatriation or offering safe haven.

 

These "refugees" are an invading ideological enemy intent on destroying Western religions and values. They are so strong in their evil ideology that Hitler would have been proud to welcome them aboard his evil Nazi axis...Wait, they were aboard the Nazi evil axis. They loved the Nazis because they were exterminating the Jews. Welcome, brother!

 

This new evil axis is intent on conquering Europe, and eventually world domination, by sheer force of numbers. The leaders of Europe are looking at the here and now. The Muslims have a longer view, looking at 50 years, a hundred years from now. Europe is surrendering to the onslaught of immigrants on "humanitarian" grounds because people are dying. How many died in the Great War and WWII? For that matter, how many died during the Crusades? Muslims consider dying for their faith a form of martyrdom that guarantees their place in Paradise. Consider the tens of thousands of them that have blown themselves up just to kill some infidels with themselves.

 

Western leaders need to recognize this invasion for what it is, a threat to Western civilization and culture. They should ALL be turned back and transported to a safe place in a MUSLIM country. There are plenty to choose from. In a circumstance of national security political correctness has no validity. Humanitarian considerations can be taken up with their new host country. If we don't stop the invasion now, then when? After the bleeding hearts have delayed us until it's too late?

 

What is Going on With the GOP?

"Legion" has some thoughts on our current state of affairs.

 What to write about?  There's so much going on, so many revelations that it's hard to narrow it down to one item.  Let's see, the Emir, scuse me, the president has convinced us that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam, white cops are cold blooded murders of black innocents, and it only took 1 month for him to blind the GOP as to meaning of the 2014 victory.  This latter topic really gets me boiling.  Today's GOP leadership knows nothing but "hands up, I surrender".  The dems have laughingly set back in disbelief and watched these empty suits almost totally destroy conservatism, the very foundation of the party.  Even tho landslide elections in 2010 and 2014 have vividly illustrated that the vast number of Americans prefer conservatism to liberalism, the RINOs just don't get it.  The people said "stop Obama and his policies"!  They think the people said compromise with the liberals and quit being obstructionists.

 

     Mark Styne said only one election in recent years really changed the direction of the country.  The election of Ronald Reagan.   Obama made the 2010 GOP landslide victory meaningless by governing in total defiance of the law and the constitution.  The GOP, with the passage of the Omnibus Bill fully funding Obama's immigration order and ObamaCare, have proven the 2014 landslide victory meaningless.  Unbelievably 20 Republican senators voted with Obama and against the overwhelming wishes of the American people.

 

     Of course we hear that this is not the time to take a stand.  Wait until 2015 and then we'll make our stand.  Since Obama took office in 2008 we've continuously watched the Republicans say, "Now isn't the right time".  Unfortunately, the "right time" has never materialized for this group of sell outs. 

 

     The question obviously is, do we have any patriotic, value based republicans left with courage, initiative and leadership?  Can you name the ones who do?  Lets see, there's Cruz, Goudy, Lee and a handful of others.  Fat chance the doormat wing of the Democrat party (our beloved RINOs) would ever support any of these guys as our presidential nominee.  No, they're more apt to join the Democrats in trashing them into obscure footnotes.

 

     If the founding fathers had been like our GOP leadership, and the people who support them, we'd still be under British rule.  We are facing the most critical time in our history.  Islamic Jihad attacks on our homeland, blacks out to destroy "white" America, rampant immorality, socialist/Marxists controlling our media, education, judiciary, and government in general, and we have nobody (very few) willing to stand up and save the country from this liberal cancer.  Nope, saving the party and controlling all the power, that's what's important.  God help us..

Obama's Rant on Corporate Jets

"Veritas" has some thoughts on the use and/or misuse of corporate jets.

Once again, we were gifted with a Presidential rant poorly disguised as a press conference. Apparently the President finds it frustrating that there are three independent branches of government. He vigorously admonished others about doing their homework. However, once again, he has not performed up to the standards he would set for others.

 

Many things come to mind but his repeated demagoguery regarding corporate jets best illustrates his failure to do his homework. 

 

It is strange that the President would tout a stimulus package that included a tax incentive for corporate America to buy new jets and then publicly chastise them for doing so. It was either a failure to do his homework or another thinly veiled effort to promote class warfare in the United States.

 

If it was a homework failure, I recommend that the President enlist the aid of his two daughters. He has said that the do their homework well and complete it one day before the deadline.

 

Are We Racial Profiling at Airports?

"Rook" has some observations on Homeland Security.  

The few facts listed amid the breathless allegations listed in this article are the following specifics:

 

1. The TSA actually runs a Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT) program.

 

2. a federal report found [that] several behavior detection officers (BDOs), had singled out Mexican and Dominican passengers for special scrutiny, bag searches, questioning and document reviews.

 

Both of these facts seem to indicate that despite shrieky claims to the contrary, the TSA is trying to adapt Israeli techniques to USairport security procedures. This is supposed to be a BAD thing? You'd think some kind of profiling would be elementary, especially at a time when the news from the world of Jihad is that terrorists are trying to pass themselves off as Hispanics.

 

 

3. Passengers found to have lapsed visas or expired passports would be referred for additional screening or turned over to immigration officials

 

Even assuming these passengers also happen to be the Mexicans and Dominicans mentioned above, what are the BDO's supposed to do? Refer them to the humiliating public naked searches, or pat them on the head and send them on their way? Throughout history, the first cause for suspicion has always been that "your papers are not in order." Try it sometime, whether you have light or dark skin, and see how far you get, whether at the airport, at a traffic stop, etc. 

 

 

4. William Buckman, a lawyer who helped to overturn scores of drug convictions obtained through racial profilingon the turnpike, said he was not surprised by the report’s findings

 

It takes a special kind of diseased "logic" even to petition, let alone reverse SCORES of convictions based on this kind of claim. Facts be damned, procedure overrules everything, especially common sense. They make it look like the NJ State Police PLANTED the damning evidence on innocent victims stopped for no reason at all.

 

Gee, let's see. Here comes another mule. I think I'll play it safe and pull over that foxy blonde in the BMW instead. Maybe I'll get "lucky."

High Price of Gas - A Remedy?

“Veritas” has some thoughts on the high price of gas.

“As gas prices rise and cause other prices to rise while wreaking havoc on our fragile economy, our politicians feel compelled to create a scapegoat. Otherwise, the voters might conclude that their politicians have, once again, failed the American people.

 “President Obama recently announced he was forming a task force within the Department of Justice to determine whether oil speculators are engaging in fraudulent and/or manipulative practices.

 

“If this sounds all too familiar it is because that was the diversionary ploy used by Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush. They found nothing of consequence. They, of course had no authority to delve into overseas futures markets.

 

 “President Carter's answer to the spike in gas prices was to propose a grandiose and ill-conceived  national energy policy. For good measure he gave us the "stay alive at 55" program that was widely disregarded and ultimately repealed.

 

“And here we are 30+ years later largely dependent on foreign oil. It is more of a threat to our economy and national security than any other single issue. Yet, the voters will not only tolerate such a head in the sand approach to the problem, but reward them with their vote if up for reelection.

 

“The United States need not go with hat in hand to oil rich nations. We have enough reasonably accessible oil to level the playing field in a short period of time. We need not destroy the environment in doing so, nor should we abandon efforts to develop economic alternate sources of energy.

 

“If you are a defeatist or have your head in the sand or elsewhere, do nothing but whine and/or beg for government help.

 

“If you believe that your vote can be made to count, write your representative and senators with your views. Then, check their performance on critical issues when they are up for reelection.”

 

Where Have All the Liberals Gone?

Where have all the liberals gone?  Has anyone noticed the Democrats and liberals are now calling themselves “Progressives.”  In these economic hard times and high unemployment, the term “liberal” doesn’t quite have the right ring.  The term implies freewheeling, free spending, free love, free drugs, and a general inattentiveness to things in general.  Besides the term progressive implies that we are forward thinking, on the ball and marching in the vanguard of history. 

I doubt that many voters, at least in this election, will be fooled by the wolf slipping into sheep’s clothing.  However, it’s an interesting ploy for the new upcoming crop of young voters.  After all, who wouldn’t want to be progressive; to be otherwise would to be against progress, a Luddite.   That brings up the question as to whether the Democrats will be able to shake the liberal label. 

Perhaps it’s time for the Republicans to also engage in rebranding.  Perhaps they could become the Super Progressives or Ultra Super Progressives or …

In the long run, the term progressive may be a non-starter.  If one looks to the history of rebranding, more often than not it doesn’t work.  Ultimately, for those who vote, it comes down to issues such as the economy.  Besides, we have a living example in the White House of someone who campaigned on gimmicky slogans, but it now facing the fact that his liberals have changed their name and gone into hiding.
